Member ServicesCommunication & Support

The Ability Network of Delaware offers a multitude of services for our members.

Our goal is to provide member agencies with valuable amenities to enhance the work they do. Examples of A.N.D. member services include:

  • Communication & advocacy: A.N.D. staff works diligently to provide regular and up-to-date communication with action alerts and distribution of national and state news stories of concern to member agencies. With the aid of our lobbying firm Ruggerio, Willson & Associates, A.N.D. works statewide with members of the general assembly, the governor’s office, and state agencies to promote the best interest of our member agencies as well as those they serve.
  • Research: Internally and through partnerships with state and national agencies, A.N.D. conducts and gathers valuable data and research to assist our members with meeting their missions and providing the latest standard of care and best practices.
  • Business development: Through our commitment to Employment First (Delaware’s dedication to employ individuals with disabilities and other life challenges in community-based positions), and through our State Use Program, A.N.D. works with our members to increase opportunities in state and private agencies for the clients they serve.
  • Committees: A.N.D. convenes members monthly on four key areas of interest: developmental disabilities, behavioral health, government relations and business/vocational services. Each month member agency representatives attend committee meetings to discuss the latest issues in their respective areas of interest, share interagency news and accomplishments, and work as a cohort to develop solutions and plans of action to problems the disability community faces in Delaware and beyond.
